Today was a free day and we decided to take a boat trip across the lake to Interlaken to re-visit our old haunts from our visits many years ago in 2003 and 2004. Once in Interlaken it didn’t take long before we realised this town has drastically gone down hill. Most of the tourists were rich kid Chinese buying up designer merchandise and the rest of the town had multiple junk food restaurants. I also saw the first graffiti I have ever seen in Switzerland.
Our old hotel we used in 2003 and 2004 had rapidly gone down hill and was looking very sad.
My advice, don’t bother with Interlaken.
