Today was a day out of the saddle and some free time to take a look around Stresa and Lake Maggiore.
There is a funicular railway up into the mountains overlooking the lake and boat trips out to the islands on the lake.
We decided to take a leisurely stroll along the main drag taking in a few watering holes, an extended lunch then a boat trip out to the island.
